🎬 Dan Thorburn (Writer & Director)

A rising talent from the North of England, Dan transitioned from painting to filmmaking after studying at Central Saint Martins in London. His acclaimed short films Salt Water Town and Trucker’s Atlas have played at prestigious festivals including BFI London, Raindance & LIFF.

• Winner of the Sony Future Filmmaker Award 2023
• Member of BAFTA Connect
• Graduate of NETWORK@LFF Talent Lab
• Debut feature Barfly is in development with the BFI, having won Best Project at Galway Film Market 2023. Previous short films played at BFI London, Raindance & LIFF.
